We attain our goals by incorporating three equally important components into each program.
International Community Service Projects
The heart of each of our student trips to Costa Rica is our authentic service projects. We find specific needs within the Costa Rican commuinity the students are living within, which allows the students to experience first-hand their ability to make a positive impact in people's lives. Language and Cultural Immersion Homestays
The homestay portion of the program integrates each student into the natural, everyday way of life in a local Costa Rican community. Students can practice their Spanish speaking skills and learn about the culture and people of Costa Rica through conversations, authentic meals, and family activities and interactions. Students and Costa Ricans gain a mutal understanding and respect for diverse cultures through this experience.
Individual and Group Development
While the students are participating in adventure day trips, educational field trips, homestays and/or community service projects, they are challenged to evealuate their individual growth as well as their ability to work within a team.
